The Pawan Kalyan-starrer "Bro" had a disappointing performance at the box office despite much boasting.
The movie suffered a collapse after the initial opening. Pawan Kalyan's fans and Janasena activists are making efforts to promote the movie, but it hasn't helped much.
In the film, the makers included a character resembling Minister Ambati Rambabu, named Shyambabu, portrayed in a comical manner. This resulted in Ambati Rambabu expressing anger and making critical remarks about Pawan Kalyan.
He also made allegations that the producer Vishwaprasad funded the movie using the hawala route of NRI money.
Pawan Kalyan's previous movies were consecutive box office flops. So Ambati said that Pawan is trying to make his film Bro run a bit better by spoofing his character.
Many on social media suggest that Ambati might have attacked Pawan Kalyan in a different manner.
Ambati might have suggested that his actions of dancing with common people was part of mingling with them, and insulting him for his dance is nothing but insulting the poor and common people.
He might have even challenged Pawan to satirize politicians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if he truly had the courage, as PM was also seen dancing in some occasions.
Ambati might also have said that Shyambabu's character in the movie is not him but Pawan himself as his personal life, particularly concerning his marital relations is given to that character.
Despite Ambati's criticisms and allegations about the film's funding, many people doubt if any substantial results would emerge even if complaints were filed with central investigation agencies.
