Alliance with BJP shows weakness of TDP

YSR Congress party on Saturday said the alliance between the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party is a clear indication to the weakness of the TDP and its desperate attempt to come to power.

The party reaffirmed its unwavering confidence in chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership, asserting that no coalition, regardless of its composition, can thwart his path to victory in the upcoming elections.

State irrigation minister Ambati Rambabu said the alliance was totally unethical and opportunistic, as it highlights the contradiction in the past conflicts between the TDP and the BJP and their current collaboration to fight against the YSRCP.

He referred to the founding principles of the TDP by NTR, emphasizing the compromise of Telugu people's integrity by Chandrababu Naidu's recent actions in seeking an alliance with BJP.

YSRCP MP P Mithun Reddy called upon the BJP to address unfulfilled promises regarding the bifurcation act and criticized the alliance with TDP as motivated by concerns over Naidu's legal issues.

State industries minister Gudivada Amarnath said forging alliances was not unfamiliar to Chandrababu Naidu, implying his reliance on them due to a perceived lack of confidence in solo contests.

Naidu, however, said the alliance between BJP, TDP, and JSP isn't just an alliance but rather a partnership between three stakeholders committed to serving Andhra Pradesh and the country.

Naidu further expressed joy to rejoin the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He stated that together with JSP chief Pawan Kalyan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda, a people's government will be formed in Andhra Pradesh ushering in a new era of development.
