Nostalgia: Caste Feeling Of Vishwanatha Satyanarayana

Many assume that Late Vishwanatha Satyanarayana, the first Gnanapeeth Awardee in Telugu, was a caste biased personality.

Vishwanatha was a Brahmin and there were many assumptions that he dislikes other caste people. But he was impressed with a guy who recited verses of metrical poetry spontaneously. He became big fan of him. Vishwanatha used to take him along with him wherever he used to go. He loved him a lot and always used to show him as his sishya for literary world.

Even after the demise of Vishwanatha Satyanarayana, there were many occasions where the guy said on the dais, "Vishwanatha Satyanaana was the court poet of AP State. But I was the court poet of Kavi Samrat Vihwanatha". His name was Jnanananda Kavi. He was from Madiga Community. How can we brand Vishwanatah as a man with caste feeling? He disliked the people because of their behavior and attitude, be it of any caste.
