Tollywood's dynamics have changed drastically. Unless it's a big-star or larger-than-life film, audiences aren’t stepping out to theatres.
Even mid-range heroes are struggling to draw crowds, let alone small-budget films with lesser-known actors.
Despite this harsh reality, actor Suhas has carved out a niche audience for himself.
His films were still pulling people to theatres — a testament to both his talent and luck. But now, even Suhas seems to be hitting a rough patch.
Though Suhas continues to put in sincere effort in every film, his recent choices haven’t clicked. His films lack fresh promotional strategies or concepts that go viral before release.
More importantly, the recent scripts he’s chosen haven’t been strong enough to resonate with the audience, leading to a string of flops.
Suhas appears to be focusing solely on whether the story is “new,” without evaluating how effectively it can be told or how well it will connect with viewers.
This is becoming evident, especially considering that his last 4–5 films — Gorre Puranam, Janaka Aithe Ganaka, Sriranganithulu, Prasannavadanam — have all failed at the box office.
The latest addition to that list is O Bhama Ayyayo Rama, which too failed to make an impact.
If this trend continues, even getting a decent opening for Suhas’s future films might become difficult.
