Anupama Parameswaran played a strikingly different role in her upcoming film Paradha, where she will be seen as a tribal girl caught in the confines of age-old customs.
Set to release on the 22nd of this month, Paradha promises a fresh narrative with powerful performances.
While the first song introduced a rustic love story, and the second delved into the weight of traditions in the village, the third track, Yegareyi Nee Rekkale, which is out now, takes a bold turn, offering a stark contrast to its predecessors.
Anupama sheds her Paradha and embarks on a liberating road trip with a group of friends, played by Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha.
The song is a celebration of freedom, joy, and camaraderie, encapsulated perfectly in the soothing melody of Gopi Sundar. The track’s serene yet uplifting vibe mirrors the emotional release of Anupama’s character as she steps away from the societal restraints she’s been bound by.
Ritesh G Rao’s soulful rendition brings life to the song, while the lyrics penned by Vanamali capture the girl’s emotional journey, one that sees her break free from the strict customs of her village and embrace a moment of unburdened joy.
Directed by Praveen Kandregula, with producers Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva, Paradha is presented by Raj and DK. The film also features Rag Mayur in a pivotal role.
