Superstar Mahesh Babu always wanted to do a James Bond style spy thriller. He has pitched the idea to many directors, but none of them fulfilled his dream to date.
Mahesh expressed his wish to do a James Bond film under Rajamouli’s direction when they both met few years ago.
Rajamouli is currently focusing on period action dramas and visual effects rich costume dramas. He has mastered the art of making such movies and has been sticking to doing such films. Even RRR has period setup as the story happens in the 1920s.
As Rajamouli announced his next film with Mahesh, fans and Telugu filmgoers are curious to know the genre.
Will Rajamouli do a James Bond style film with Mahesh or will he stick to his strengths and do another visual-effect heavy period drama?
Interestingly, Mahesh is yet to talk about this much awaited project. He has kept mum about it on Twitter even after Rajamouli publicly announced it in his media interactions.
