Why 'A' Certificate For 'Salaar'?

Why 'A' Certificate For 'Salaar'?

An 'A' certificate for a feature film is generally given based on the violence and obscenity in the content.

Recently, we have seen many films that were given a U/A certificate despite excessive violence, profanity in dialogues, and obscenity in scenes.

But it is a surprise to see 'Salaar' receiving an A certificate.

The kind of action sequences shown in the film are no longer perceived as violence, even by children, and they are relishing them as they would in any superhero film.

Moreover, there is not a single vulgar dialogue in the film, nor even a hint of obscenity. However, the film has been given an A certificate, which has shocked many.

In fact, school-going kids express interest in watching Prabhas' films, especially when described as action extravaganzas, and they cannot resist watching, especially during the holiday season. However, the 'A' certificate for the film may be a cause for concern for some parents.

It is still unknown on what basis the Censor Board grants an A certificate for some films and does not for others with similar features.
