As reported earlier by Great Andhra, buyers from Andhra and Ceded regions who had purchased the rights to Hari Hara Veera Mallu came to Hyderabad to discuss their losses and demand GST invoices.
Buyers from Vizag, West Godavari, Guntur, Nellore, and Ceded regions met Film Chamber President Bharat Bhushan to present their grievances.
The buyers are said to have revealed the extent of losses: ₹7 crore in Uttarandhra, ₹1 crore in West Godavari excluding old dues (₹3.5 crore including them), ₹4 crore in Guntur, ₹2 crore in Nellore, and ₹9 crore in Ceded. They requested that at the very least GST invoices should be provided immediately.
Bharat Bhushan reportedly called producer A M Rathnam, but Rathnam is said to have made it clear that he could not provide anything, insisting he had no resources.
The buyers then requested that Bharat Bhushan arrange a meeting with Pawan Kalyan himself. Bharat Bhushan assured them he would try.
The buyers even suggested that Pawan could help them by offering his next film to them at reduced rates as compensation.
They also demanded that not only producer A M Rathnam but also the financier of the film should be held responsible, since payments were made directly to him. Thus, they argued, he too should issue GST invoices.
After assuring them he would make efforts, Bharat Bhushan sent the buyers back, though no concrete solution was reached.
