Watch: A Huge Relief for Vakeel Saab

The Telangana government has stated that they have no plans to shut down the theaters due to a sudden spike in corona cases.

Rubbishing the rumors that the government either planning to close the theaters or impose a fifty percent occupancy rule, Telangana minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the theaters would run as they are running now.

His statement comes as a huge relief to the makers of “Vakeel Saab”. If the government restricts the occupancy in theaters, it would turn a huge blow to this biggie which is slated for release on April 9th.

Openings are key to any film’s success. The 50% rule would be detrimental to the film’s collections.

"Vakeel Saab" skipped the Pongal release due to the rule of 50% occupancy. Nearly Rs 150 Crore is at stake on this film. It can only recover the investment with full occupancy.

With clarity coming from the government, the new releases that include “Rang De” will see good openings. The film has already witnessed a positive trend of bookings.
