Vishnu Manchu Voices Support For Vizag Steel Plant

The Central government’s decision to privatize Vizag Steel Plant resulted in widespread protests from across the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Workers of the steel plant, traders and some political parties are either taking part in the protests or lending their support.

Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy recently shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought an appointment with him.

Under these circumstances, hero Vishnu Manchu who went to Vizag as part of promotions of his film Mosagallu was stopped by protestors and was given memorandum to support their protest.

Vishnu Manchu later speaking to a TV channel said that the Centre should give up the steel plant sale plan to private players.

“We shouldn’t see it in business perspective, as it involves the sentiments and emotions of the people of the state.”

Vishnu said that his father Mohan Babu briefed them about the history of Vizag Steel Plant.

“My father told us that Visakha Steel Plant is a symbol of numerous sacrifices.”

Mosagallu’s 10 minutes premiere was screened for movie buffs in Vizag.

The film is scheduled for release on 19th of this month.
