Vijay Deverakonda has finally addressed a personal regret — his failure to spend enough time with loved ones, including his girlfriend — amid ongoing speculation about his relationship with Rashmika Mandanna.
Though the duo has never confirmed their romance, Vijay’s recent comments have reignited the buzz.
In a candid interview with Cinema Vikatan, the Arjun Reddy actor reflected on the emotional growth he’s undergone in the past couple of years.
“Relationships come above everything,” he said. “I’ve matured a lot in the last two years. Before that, I wasn’t like this. I didn’t like how my life went in those 2–3 years. I didn’t spend enough time with my mum, dad, my girlfriend, or my friends.”
Vijay added that a turning point came when he suddenly realized the void this had created in his life. “I didn’t want to feel that way anymore. So now I make an effort—I spend time with my friends, my parents, and in my relationships.”
Vijay and Rashmika, who starred together in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), have been linked for years.
While neither has confirmed the relationship, their joint trips and public appearances keep the rumours alive.
Their vacation to the Maldives last year sparked wedding speculation, but Vijay later denied any plans to get engaged or married at the time.
Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, is gearing up for Kingdom, a spy thriller set to hit screens on July 31. He also has SVC 59 with Ravi Kiran Kola and VD14, a period action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan.
