Uppena first ticket was sold to megastar Chiranjeevi during the film’s pre-release event.
Vijay Sethupathi who played the antagonist said though he can understand Telugu, he can’t speak fluently. He said he has big respect for Chiranjeevi with whom he worked for Sye Raa.
Vijay said Buchi Babu was very emotional and he expressed his wish of working with Sukumar. He said he’s a big fan of Sukumar. Vijay then called Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty as cute little kids.
Interestingly, he mentioned specially about the success of Sankranthi outing Krack and thanked Telugu audience for coming to theatres again to encourage cinema.
Sukumar who is also one of the producers of the film said that Uppena is a 100 Cr film.
“I became very emotional when I heard the story first time. I will proudly say that Buchi Babu is my disciple not because he assisted my films. It’s because I was the maths teacher for him.”
Sukumar thanked Devi Sri Prasad for giving such wonderful songs. He affirmed that the inputs of Chiranjeevi helped the film.
“I really thank Chiranjeevi sir. Your corrections helped us a lot. Because of your judgement, all the mega heroes have become very successful.”
