Uday Shankar Betters Himself with Kshana Kshanam

Stars who have a huge fan following dictate the market. Irrespective of the content, their films get good openings.

Newcomers, especially those who have no connection with the film industry families, have to struggle hard to get noticed.

Up and coming actors have the only option: selecting a different script. Since thrillers with a final twist have been attracting audiences lately, upcoming actor Uday Shankar must have decided to follow the same path.

Uday Shankar made a debut in an offbeat role in Chandras Siddhartha directed “Aatagadhara Siva”, which struck a chord with niche audiences. His second film, Mismatch, was a total washout. The latest outing “Kshana Kshanam”, which hit the screens this Friday, is a thriller with a final twist.

Except for the name, “Kshana Kshanam” has no resemblance to Ram Gopal Varma’s classic film.

The story of Uday Shankar starrer “Kshana Kshanam” is simple. A youngster and his wife, played by Uday Shankar and Jia Sharma, face financial problems.

When the financial situation is affecting their marital life, he gets connected with Maya, a rich and beautiful woman through a dating app. The film turns out to be a whodunit with an unexpected twist.

As a person caught in a quagmire, Uday Shankar has done justice. He has made a neat choice of selecting a story that suits his body language. But he should choose directors that do justice to the story and the ones who present him in a better way.
