Toxic vs Dhurandhar 2: Yash Film Gets More Screens

The box office clash between Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic on March 19 is heating up.

While Dhurandhar 2 carries massive hype as the sequel to a record-breaking Hindi blockbuster, the screen count battle appears to favor Yash’s film.

The first installment of Dhurandhar emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films in India, creating enormous expectations for the sequel.

Many industry voices, including filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, have publicly backed Dhurandhar 2 to dominate the clash.

However, when it comes to screen allocation, Toxic seems to have the upper hand.

Starring Yash, Toxic is expected to dominate Karnataka, securing nearly 80 to 90 percent of screens in the state.

In the Telugu states, leading producer-distributor Dil Raju has acquired the theatrical rights, ensuring a wide release across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

A similar trend is anticipated in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where the film is likely to get strong backing.

South India alone could contribute an additional 1500 to 2000 screens to Toxic.

Even if Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, manages to secure maximum screens in North India, the overall nationwide screen count may still tilt in favor of Toxic.

With a larger screen presence, Toxic is expected to post stronger opening day collections, despite Dhurandhar 2 carrying sequel advantage and high pre-release buzz.

The real winner, however, will be decided once audiences step into theatres on March 19.
