The much-awaited teaser of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been released, giving audiences a glimpse into its dark and violent world.
The film stars Yash and is directed by Geetu Mohandas.
Toxic is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2025, and will clash at the box office with Dhurandhar 2. The film is produced by KVN Productions.
The teaser offers a brief but intense look into the film’s high-octane action.
It opens with a voice saying, “This war will be different,” followed by striking visuals of a Royale Circus intercut with extreme close-ups of Yash, who plays a character named Raya. The voiceover warns him, “You can’t go against the world and survive. Give up, Raya.”
What follows is a series of action-packed shots. Yash makes a powerful entry as he rises from a bathtub and brutally attacks a man, delivering the line, “It’s over when I say it’s over.”
The teaser is filled with explosions, gunfire, violent fights, and bloodshed, ending on a shocking note with a man killing another using a saw.
Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after four years. The actor has also co-produced the film under his banner Monstermind Creations.
Yash was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, which went on to become a massive blockbuster.
Yash has co-written Toxic along with Geetu Mohandas. Looking ahead, he will also be seen in Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he plays the role of Ravan.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, and is co-produced by Monstermind Creations and Prime Focus Limited, headed by Namit Malhotra.
The action sequences in Toxic have been choreographed by JJ Perry, known for his work on John Wick and Fast & Furious.
Additional stunt work has been handled by Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Music for the film is composed by Ravi Basrur, while cinematography is by Rajeev Ravi. Editing is handled by Ujwal Kulkarni.
With its intense visuals and stylised action, Toxic promises a gritty cinematic experience led by Yash in a fierce new avatar.
