1. Hit - The Second Case: The film starring Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Choudary stood up as a super hit of the season.
The film had enough of pre release hype as it's from a successful franchise and Nani being its producer. The openings were pretty good and the first day talk was also very positive.
This made the film mint money at the box office and within the first two days of domestic collection itself, the film went into safe zone making a breakeven. The profits are counted from Sunday onwards.
2. Love Today: The film that rocked in Tamil has come on to the Telugu screen. It outdid many of the other existing straight films last ween and has been performing well at the box office.
It stood up as a perfect entertainer in recent times by all means, engaging the attention of the audience of all age groups right from teens to the middle aged.
It got the hit talk and even in the second weekend the collections are decent.
3. Matti Kusthi: The film made dull openings due to the lack of powerful star cast. Though the content was not rejected by the audience the film struggles to sustain in theatres.
Moreover the success sound of Hit2 made the audience leave a deaf ear to this film. Vishnu Vishal played the lead role.
The story is all about a male chauvinist, who was seeking a bride with his own preconceived set of conditions but ends up marrying someone who is completely opposite.
The run of the film in theaters seems to be not much encouraging.
4. Masooda: The collections of this successful film are down by the end of third weekend. This horror film based on a mother and daughter relationship impressed the audience with its novel approach and some never seen before episodes.
Thiruveer played the male lead while the main character happens to be that of Sangeetha. Kavya plays the love interest of Thiruveer while Saikiran directed the film.
5. Drishyam 2: The film was originally made in Malayalam and proved successful. Later it was made in Telugu with Venkatesh in main lead. But now the theatrical saga of this film is continuing in Hindi with Ajay Devgn playing the lead.
The collections of the film are pretty good in the north and even in Hyderabad and some urban regions, it made a decent collection though not overwhelming.
