Telugu film industry’s leading stars and other actors have donated liberally to the CM relief funds, PM relief fund and Tollywood’s very own charity fund ‘Corona Crisis Charity’.
Barring the donations given to the CM and PM relief funds, the contributions to Corona Crisis Charity are also impressive.
According to megastar Chiranjeevi who is overseeing this fund tweeted that Rs 6.2 crore has been collected so far to help the daily wage workers of the Telugu movie industry who hit hard due to lockdown.
“Rs.6.2 Cr has been collected so far by #CoronaCrisisCharity Heartfelt Thanks to each one of the contributors. Appeal to every one to come forward for this cause,” he tweeted.
Chiranjeevi and Tollywood have set itself a target of collecting Rs 10 crore. While the male stars have donated liberally, the heroines are not writing any cheques.
