The latest grapevine in the industry circles is that the collections of KGF2 are not genuinely projected.
The film was given for distribution in Andhra at a discounted price of 60% to the originally agreed amount. The commission was also 9% on the recovery.
There are some suspicions that some distributors have played their games to swallow some collections in spite of line inspectors and checkings.
The talk is that the collections were swallowed in different areas in different styles.
A distributor also expressed off the record that it is difficult to get adjusted with a mere 9% commission and so this kind of malpractice is part of the business.
There is a huge difference of Rs 1 cr between the projected figures and the supposed figure in an area.
Besides, the KGF2 collections in Naizam area crossed Rs 37 Cr. The expectation is that as Ramzan and May Day are in line, the film may end at around Rs 42- Rs 45 Cr. If that happens then the record of Ala Vaikunta Puram Lo would be beaten.
Well, the Naizam collection of Pushpa is Rs 38.10 Cr which can be easily crossed by KGF2 anyway.
