'The Raja Saab' Kills Prabhas' Nizam Market

'The Raja Saab' Kills Prabhas' Nizam Market

Nizam was the strongest territory for megastar Chiranjeevi for a long time. That legacy was later taken over successfully by Prabhas, making Nizam his most dominant market.

From Rebel to Baahubali to Kalki 2898 AD, all his films have registered massive openings and several all-time records. Undoubtedly, Prabhas emerged as the biggest star in the Nizam region.

Now, The Raja Saab finds itself in an alarming situation. While premiere shows have begun in all other territories, Nizam screens no shows yet.

The strangest thing is the bookings in Nizam have not yet opened, creating deep disappointment among fans and trade circles.

This has led many to conclude that the massive Nizam market of Prabhas has been severely damaged by this release.

With no paid premiere shows screened, the collections from them have dropped to zero.

Had the government denied the GO outright, the producer could have released the premiers at regular ticket prices, given the huge demand.

Instead, waiting until late night for the GO resulted in total loss of premiere revenue and hurt Prabhas’ market value.

Ironically, bookings for regular shows from January 9 are still unopened.

The producer appears firm on releasing only at higher ticket prices once the GO arrives, but this delay risks greater damage as public talk is already spreading from shows running elsewhere, including Andhra Pradesh.

Despite being close to Pawan Kalyan and power centres close to the Telangana government leadership, the inability to secure the GO on time is being viewed by many as a failure of the producer, as reflected in the anger seen on social media.
