Even recently, his music for OG received huge praise from Pawan Kalyan’s fans, with many crediting his score as a key factor in the film’s success.
However, he has also faced criticism for delivering chartbusters only for select stars like Pawan Kalyan and Nandamuri Balakrishna.
His work for Ram Charan’s Game Changer faced heavy trolling, and his songs failed to uplift films like Telusu Kada.
Surprisingly, this time even Balakrishna hasn’t received Thaman’s trademark magic.
“Jajikaya” from Akhanda 2 is struggling to gain momentum, except through paid promotions. Many feel the song lacks a catchy hook.
Similarly, the newly released “Rebel Song,” the first single from The Raja Saab, doesn’t have the viral energy of “Chikiri Chikiri” or OG’s title track, leaving both Balayya and Prabhas fans disappointed.
With both films heading toward release, Thaman now faces a crucial test.
