Well-known for experimenting with different genres, director Prashanth Varma will be making first original Indian superhero film titled Hanu-Man.
The makers have signed young hero Teja Sajja to play the superlative role and this marks second film in the hero and director’s combination.
The makers have announced the news officially and Hanu-Man’s muhurtham has been held in Hyderabad with few guests attending it.
For the muhurtham shot on Teja, Gemini Kiran switched on the camera, while C Kalyan sounded the clapboard and Shiva Shakti Datta did honorary direction.
One needs to look manly to play a superhero and Teja has turned macho to play Hanu-Man with deliberately messy hairdo and handlebar mustache and beard.
K Niranjan Reddy of Primeshow Entertainment will bankroll the movie on lavish budget, as the film will have extensive visual effects. Dasaradhi Shivendra is the cinematographer.
Hanu-Man will go on floors from next month.
