After a six-month gap, Sreeleela has resumed work on a new film. Her latest project, starring Ravi Teja, was launched on Tuesday.
How did she land this project after delivering two flops for the same production company?
Haarika & Hassine and Sithara Entertainments had signed her for three films: Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Aadikeshava, and Vijay Deverakonda's VD12. However, both Guntur Kaaram and Aadikeshava produced poor outcomes.
Consequently, the makers of VD12 decided to cast another actress in place of Sreeleela, especially since the star Vijay Deverakonda has also been experiencing a string of flops. Bhagyashree Borse stepped in as the replacement.
Since the production firm had already paid Sreeleela for three films, the producers allocated her dates to Ravi Teja's film.
Ravi Teja and Sreeleela are considered a hit pair, which secured her another opportunity despite the earlier setbacks.
This is her first film in 2024.
