Released amidst high expectations, hero Nikhil’s national thriller SPY was released yesterday at a Pan India level.
The movie directed by Garry BH, however, opened to a record collection at the box office. SPY collected a worldwide gross of Rs 11.7 Cr on its opening day, as announced by the makers.
This is the highest-ever opener for Nikhil and the day-one numbers show the actor’s stamina at the box office.
Nikhil scored Pan India-level success with his last movie Karthikeya 2 and the team promoted SPY aggressively for the last few days.
The movie saw housefull boards in many centers and the long weekend will be an advantage for it to continue its good run.
