Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 has opened advance bookings in India, but early numbers suggest the film needs a strong push to pick up momentum.
Despite being a big-ticket Ayan Mukerji Spy Universe film, ticket sales on BookMyShow have started slower than expected.
From 8 AM to 4 PM on Sunday, August 10, the film sold only 21.5K tickets on the platform.
This translates to an average of 26 tickets per minute — roughly 1.5K tickets an hour — over the first eight hours.
However, there was a slight uptick between 3 PM and 4 PM, with nearly 3K tickets sold in that hour alone.
War 2 is set for a major box office clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on the same day.
