He explained that when an ex‑lover sees you move on, they often hate or complain because they have not yet forgotten you. This is how he feels about Pakistan, which he left to become an Indian citizen in 2016.
He rose to fame in India in the late 1990s with hit songs and worked with many famous Bollywood stars.
He says that although many people move to new countries, tensions between India and Pakistan make this case special. According to him, it is more about emotion than reason.
