Director Sekhar Kammula, whose first pan-Indian film Kuberaa is set to release this Friday, has shared insights into the challenges of working on a multi-language project and addressed speculation about his upcoming ventures.
Speaking about the demands of pan-Indian cinema, Kammula admitted that the process was far more exhausting than he had anticipated.
“You have to check everything across languages—from lyrics to dialogues. Post-production becomes extremely complicated. It’s a very cumbersome and time-consuming process,” he said, adding that he would think twice before taking on another pan-India film.
He also put to rest rumors about a sequel to his acclaimed political drama Leader.
“The political landscape in India has changed drastically. This is not the right time to make Leader 2,” he clarified.
Regarding the much-anticipated collaboration with actor Nani, Kammula confirmed that discussions have taken place.
“Nani and I have agreed to team up, but nothing is finalized yet. I will only approach him once I have a solid script,” he said.
