During an interview with Miss Malini, popular actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared that she was offered the hit track 'Oo Antava' from the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa while she was in the midst of a separation from her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha mentioned that her well-wishers and family advised her against taking up the offer as it was an "item song" and she had just announced her separation.
Despite the discouragement, Samantha decided to take up the opportunity, stating that she did not want to hide away during her divorce proceedings and that she had not done anything wrong.
She further added that she gave her marriage her all, but it did not work out, and she did not want to feel guilty for something she did not do.
Samantha's performance in the sensuous dance number 'Oo Antava' in Pushpa was widely appreciated by critics and audiences alike.
Rumors suggest that she may also play a significant role in the upcoming film, Pushpa: The Rule, which features Rashmika Mandanna alongside Allu Arjun.
It was reported that Allu Arjun himself had convinced Samantha to take up the song.
