It seems that Samantha Ruth Prabhu may have responded to comments made by producer Chittibabu regarding her career after the underwhelming box office performance of Shaakuntalam.
Chittibabu had suggested that Samantha's time as a "star heroine" was over and that she was resorting to "cheap tactics" to promote her movies.
However, in a now-expired Instagram Stories post, Samantha shared a screenshot of a Google search about hair growth from ears due to increased testosterone, along with the hashtag "IYKYK (If you know, you know)". Fans have interpreted this as a dig at Chittibabu.
Shaakuntalam reportedly suffered a loss of Rs 20 crore, as it was made on a budget of around Rs 60 crore and sold to a streaming giant for Rs 35 crore.
Producers Dil Raju and Gunasekhar incurred losses of more than Rs 20 crore after failing to secure a deal with satellite companies for television streaming rights.
