Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, marking the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has taken the box office by storm with a remarkable Rs 83 crore in its opening weekend.
The romantic drama now ranks among the top five highest opening weekends of 2025.
According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 37 crore on Sunday, following Rs 25 crore on Saturday and an impressive Rs 21 crore on its opening day (Friday).
With these figures, Saiyaara has outperformed the opening weekend collections of Mohit Suri’s earlier blockbusters like Ek Villain (Rs 16 crore) and Aashiqui 2 (Rs 6.1 crore).
The film also recorded excellent occupancy rates—78.53% during afternoon shows, 88.15% in the evening, and 79.32% at night.
Saiyaara has already set a new benchmark as the biggest opener featuring two debutants, surpassing the opening collections of films like Student of the Year (Rs 70 crore lifetime) and closing in on Dhadak (Rs 95.12 crore lifetime).
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara is an emotional tale of love, heartbreak, and resilience, featuring Ahaan Pandey as Krish Kapoor, a struggling musician, and Aneet Padda as Vaani Batra, a young writer battling early-onset Alzheimer’s.
The film continues to gain momentum and is expected to break more records in the coming days.
