Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has announced the closure of her iconic Mumbai restaurant, Bastian Bandra.
Taking to Instagram, she described it as “the end of an era,” celebrating the memories and vibrant nightlife the venue created.
She also revealed plans for a final special evening for loyal patrons and mentioned that her Thursday night event, Arcane Affair, will continue at Bastian at the Top, carrying forward the legacy.
Bastian Bandra, co-owned with restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, first opened in 2016 and relocated in 2023, gaining recognition for its artistic decor and lively ambiance.
Shilpa’s note reflected nostalgia and gratitude for the years the restaurant contributed to Mumbai’s social scene, marking the closure as a significant moment for the actress and her team.
The closure comes amid a Rs 60.4 crore fraud case involving Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra.
Mumbai Police allege that a businessman, Deepak Kothari, was cheated in a loan cum investment deal linked to their company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd.
The case is now with the Economic Offences Wing.
