RRR: Sunil Escapes, Korrapati Gets Hurt

Rajamouli’s “RRR” has ended its theatrical run in Karnataka. From April 14th, the majority of screens will be screening Kannada cinema’s biggest pan-Indian project “KGF Chapter 2”.

“RRR” which had already suffered heavily in Karnataka will have no more chance to get any money.

Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2” movie set records in all languages and brought huge profits to all the distributors, sub-buyers, and theater owners. But “RRR” is a loss venture in many areas. Karnataka is one such.

The film’s distribution rights for the Karnataka region were snapped up by Asian Sunil and Sai Korrapati together.

But Sunil sold off his part even before the release and made a neat profit on his investment. KVN Productions and Sai Korrapati have distributed the film in Karnataka.

They will lose nearly Rs 8-10 crores on their investment. Thus, Sunil escaped by selling off, while Korrapati will incur losses heavily.
