Ram Pothineni’s action entertainer Skanda, helmed by Boyapati Sreenu is all set for its release in theatres on 28th September. Ram plays a mass hero role in the film.
About the transformation for the character, Ram said “It was a real challenge for me, as I was really lean when we started shooting for the film. I trained for extensive hours and consumed a lot of calories. I had put on 12kgs to prepare for my role, I went from 72kgs to 84kgs.”
Ram says he felt the power and enigma of the character and decided he had to look brutally powerful in order to suit the mass-appeal needed for it. That’s why he put on the additional weight.
Ram promises as a full blown mass feast with Skanda and adds that the film is going to put the audience through an exhilarating ride in the theatres.
Skanda is a Boyapati Sreenu directorial and it has Ram and Sree Leela in the lead roles.
