Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad has once again stirred controversy with his unapologetic attitude towards his use of language at public events.
Known for his comedic flair and seniority in the Telugu film industry, the actor is facing backlash for making objectionable remarks targeting comedian Ali during director S V Krishna Reddy’s birthday celebrations.
This isn't the first time Rajendra Prasad has drawn criticism for inappropriate comments. In the past, he issued apologies following such incidents. However, this time, he appears defiant.
At the recent Shashtipoorthi celebrations of a fellow actor, Rajendra Prasad further fueled the controversy by saying, “Recently, at some functions, people have been misinterpreting what I say. That’s your karma. It depends on your upbringing. I can’t do anything about it. If you misunderstood me, it reflects your culture. I will remain the way I am.”
His comments suggest that he believes even vulgar or crude speech can be interpreted positively if one has the right mindset.
Moreover, his statement seemed to mock those who criticized his words, implying that the problem lies in their values, not in his delivery.
Rajendra Prasad’s remarks have reignited criticism on social media, with many netizens questioning whether such behavior befits a senior and respected actor.
His refusal to tone down or apologize has become a talking point yet again.
