Raghu Kunche Interview: Awards Come By Lobbying

Raghu Kunche Interview: Awards Come By Lobbying

Raghu Kunche, the actor, singer and music director has talked exclusively for greatandhra's Chit Chat With Chandana. He has opened up on various topics.

Here are some highlights.

Producer
It is really painful to become a producer. Even if the food is not tasty for a day, they curse him. I am one of the producers for 47 Days. But some childish critics talked bad about it and I felt disturbed. I don't mind if anybody does constructive criticism like greatandhra.com. But the people who know nothing about technicalities are also dissecting it, which I can't spare.

Puri Jagan
He is my close friend and gave me two projects to work on as music director. THough he thought of giving me more, some people have obstructed him. Such things happen in the film industry. Luck matters many times. When I sang a song for Neninthe, he gifted me with a brand new 3G iPhone that was newly launched at that time. He is good at giving gifts for the technicians, other than remuneration. Once he gifted ShyamK Naidu with a 56' TV.

Chiranjeevi
Chiranjeevi garu is a great man. Initially a song I had sung for Mrugaraju was kept aside. He has come to my rescue and made it a point to retain the song saying that it was good.

Sai Kumar
Sai Kumar says many times that he never got a Nandi award as dubbing artist but I got one. It just happened. Keeping such rare things aside, many times the awards in the National category and Oscars come by lobbying. One has to spend for the jury as well.
