Radission drug case: Krish moves HC for bail

Two days after informing the Gachibowli police that he would personally appear before them in the Radission Blue drug seizure case within a couple of days, popular Tollywood director Jagarlamudi Krish on Friday conveniently approached the state high court seeking anticipatory bail.

Earlier, Krish said he was busy in shooting in Mumbai and that he had other personal issues to settle and hence, he needed time. He was supposed to appear before the police on Friday, but he took them by surprise by moving the court.

The director told the court that the police might arrest him; hence was seeking anticipatory bail. He, however, said he would fully cooperate with the investigating agencies.

Experts have told the police that traces of drug in the blood and saliva could be found only within three or four days of testing and if there is a delay in testing of the samples of the accused, it might turn negative. Maybe, that is why the accused are absconding, the police said.

Earlier, the Cyberabad police investigating the drug case informed the court that director Krish Jagarlamudi, a suspect in the case, was absconding.

Officials informed the court that a notice was issued to Krish asking him to appear before them for recording his statement and also taking a drug test. They were currently looking out for him.

In the remand report submitted in the court, the police said Krish, and other suspect Nirbhay Sindhi consumed drugs in the hotel room on February 24, which was participated by Swetha, Lissi Ganesh and Neel as well. Their WhatsApp chats also confirmed that they invited friends to the party.

Further, police alleged that Krish and Nirbhay frequently met at the hotel for parties. On Sunday too, all suspects consumed 3 grams of cocaine with the help of white paper rolls.
