The actress appeared in the Hindi movie Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty, co-starring with Ranveer Singh in a double role, but unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office.
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Pooja denied rumors about her being cast in a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan alongside Salman Khan.
She also expressed her frustration about the constant stream of casting rumors surrounding her career, saying that she can't keep up with them and can't reply to every single one.
Pooja shared an example of a recent rumor she had heard, where producers had supposedly bought her a car to keep her more comfortable on set. She jokingly said that if people want to badmouth her, they should at least give her the car.
Pooja began her acting career in the Tamil film Mugamoodi in 2012 and made her Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro in 2016.
Her next project is a Telugu film directed by Trivikram Srinivas, tentatively titled SSMB28, with Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
She has had many successful films in the Telugu industry, including the 2020 hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, co-starring Allu Arjun.
