Politican Targets 'HHVM'- Demands A New Poster

The CPM has raised strong objections to Hari Hara Veera Mallu, alleging that the film spreads anti-Muslim sentiment through a fictional narrative.

State Secretary Srinivasa Rao stated that no such person existed in history and accused the film of distorting facts to suit a communal agenda.

He questioned how a leader like Pawan Kalyan could mislead the public with imagined tales instead of presenting real history.

The party has even demanded that posters declaring "This is not history, but fiction" be displayed outside theatres screening the film. Srinivasa Rao further criticized Pawan for not using his influence to demand the return of the Kohinoor diamond from the British, calling it a true act of patriotism — unlike portraying Muslims as enemies of the nation.

However, the film's makers have been clear from the beginning. A prominent disclaimer appears at the start of the movie, stating it is a purely fictional story. Pawan Kalyan himself reiterated this during promotional interviews.

Many believe CPM’s objections are politically motivated and unlikely to find serious traction.
