‘Khaidi’ the Diwali release of Tamil hero Karthi is storming at the box office. Karthi is in Hyderabad for the success meet and he thanked the Telugu audience for an outstanding response.
“Earlier audience used to call me ‘Awara’ Karthi and now they are calling me ‘Khaidi’ Karthi.’ I’m really delighted for the wonderful response. When we had a film with no songs and no heroines, nobody asked why as we had confidence on the subject. There is action, mass elements, comedy and emotion in the content and audience proved that they would accept any sort of impressive stuff,” said Karthi.
He further said, “I should specially thank SR Prabhu for bringing this film to me. When director Lokesh narrated the script, he said he wants to do a small film but after listening I opined that it should be made like a Hollywood film.”
On the reports of sequel to ‘Khaidi’ Karthi acknowledged it. “Yes there will be ‘Khaidi’ but I asked my director to make a film with day backdrop,” summed up Karthi.
