Pen Sells RRR Rights to Zee, Netflix, and Star

Pen India Group bought the entire rights of India theatrical, satellite, and digital streaming of Rajamouli’s epic drama “RRR” for an undisclosed hefty amount sometime back.

Producer DVV Danayya and Rajamouli have landed huge profits from this mega deal.

Now, Pen India has successfully managed to sell them off to different players. It has sold off individual rights to streaming companies and satellite channels.

The film will now be dubbed into English, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish languages besides Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Tamil.

ZEE5 has bought the film’s digital streaming rights for the South Indian languages. Netflix holds streaming rights in Hindi, English, and other foreign languages.

Star Group has bought satellite rights of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, while Zee Group bought the Hindi Satellite rights.

Pen Group will release the movie in the theaters in India. “RRR” overseas rights were already sold to Phars.

“RRR” is currently in the final stages of shooting. Rajamouli has not announced its new release date yet.

Starring Ram Charan and NTR as the freedom warriors, the film also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris.
