Anupama Parameswaran will be seen sharing the screen space with Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha in the forthcoming venture Paradha.
The first glimpse, followed by teaser showed the backdrop of the movie set in a village with harsh traditions for females. The three songs released so far also got good response.
Meanwhile, Ram Pothineni unveiled the theatrical trailer of the movie, which gives a deep insight into the film’s plot.
At the heart of the story is Subbu, played by Anupama Parameswaran, a young woman suffocated by the patriarchal norms of her village. Refusing to accept her fate, she makes a life-altering decision to leave everything behind.
What begins as an empowering road trip with characters played by Darshana and Sangitha, soon spirals into a tense mystery when Subbu goes missing, while a looming threat grows back in the village.
Anupama shines in a transformative role, portraying the vulnerability and strength of her character with conviction. Her performance is raw and believable, adding emotional heft to the film. Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha deliver equally compelling performances, while Rag Mayur steps in as the male lead.
Director Praveen Kandregula crafts a hard-hitting narrative that sheds light on deeply rooted cultural practices still prevalent in some parts of society. He presents the story with honesty, avoiding melodrama, while keeping the tension intact.
Mridul Sujit Sen’s cinematography captures the rustic village life and the scenic Himalayan landscapes with stunning contrast, reinforcing the emotional journey of the characters. Gopi Sundar’s stirring background score enhances the mood, adding intensity where needed.
Backed by producers Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva, and presented by Raj & DK, Paradha boasts impressive production values that elevate its storytelling.
With three well-received songs already out and a trailer that packs a punch, Paradha has sparked strong anticipation ahead of its release. The film is all set to hit theatres on August 22nd.
