Opinion: Reasons Behind Rajinikanth's Shut Down

Rajinikanth failed in politics before stepping in. The reason is simple. After years of indecisive vacillation he gave  a hint that he was taking up the political career last year.

But citing the corona pandemic reason once and giving an excuse citing his medical reason another time, he pressed the pause button.

Finally he closed his political shop dropping down curtains on all the hopes and expectations of his fans. Had he not given any hint or had he made it clear that he would never enter into politics, he would have proven successful. But now he failed miserably.

He proved that it is very difficult to start a party and run it. It is not enough to possess cine glamor, properties and fans. One needs to have a lot of self confidence and people's support.

The people like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Rajni kanth, Kamala Hasana and Jayaprakash Narayan may be successful in their respective careers, but they never commanded the faith from the general public with their personality and character. So they could never become successful in politics.

What is needed for a politician to be successful is the media power. Until Revanth Reddy became the TPCC President the anti-KCR media highlighted only Bandi Sanjay, the BJP leader. But once they found their person Revanth Reddy in the spot, the said media kept Sanjay aside and started promoting only Revanth. So, without such huge media support not even Rajni Kanth can move forward.

Moreover the leaders like NTR and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became leaders setting up their own parties with their invincible fighting spirit and the power to confront the hard nut leaders at the national level.

So, without such power, age and with no media support Rajni Kanth cannot be qualified to make a presence in the political field in these times. His goodbye to politics should be a lesson for the new aspirants, if any, in his category.
