NTR – Prashanth Neel Film Set in the 1960s!

Director Prashanth Neel has carved a niche for himself with intense, period action dramas.

Whether it’s the “KGF” franchise or “Salaar,” both films were rooted in a bygone era, with KGF tracing a narrative from 1951 and largely set in the 1970s, while “Salaar” focused on the turbulent 1980s.

Continuing this trend, Neel is now working on a high-octane action drama with NTR, tentatively titled “Dragon”.

The story reportedly begins in the 1960s and follows the journey of a young man navigating power, politics, and personal transformation.

The film is expected to blend political drama with raw action and stylized storytelling.

Neel has promised that “Dragon” will be even more gripping and intense than “KGF” and “Salaar.”

While the 1960s setting might feel distant for contemporary audiences, the director is known for making period films that still resonate with modern viewers through universal themes and emotionally grounded characters.

Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead opposite NTR. She portrays a rural woman from the 1960s, adding depth and authenticity to the era depicted.

NTR will fully shift his focus to this project once he wraps up the promotions for “War 2,” where he co-stars with Hrithik Roshan in another major pan-India action spectacle.
