Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas's debut in Bollywood was a flop. "Chatrapathi," the Hindi remake of Rajamouli's Telugu film of the same name, was released in theaters last weekend, setting a record in Bellamkonda's career for the lowest amount ever collected.
The producer did not recoup the cost of the posters. What a failure.
Although Bellamkonda claims he has already signed a deal with the same production company for two more films, insiders say it is merely a publicity stunt.
Meanwhile, his younger brother Ganesh will face a major test next month.
Ganesh made his acting debut as a hero in the box office flop "Swathimuthyam." His second film, "Nenu Student Sir," is set to be released next month.
The film is extremely important to Ganesh. Since "Nenu Student Sir" carries no buzz or hype, it will be a challenge for him to secure decent openings. So, it is a big test for him.
