Baahubali The Epic has once again demonstrated its timeless dominance at the North American box office, setting a new all-time record for re-releases.
The film closed with a powerful $933K (Rs 8.26 Cr), reaffirming the franchise’s unmatched appeal. The USA contributed $901K, while Canada added $32K.
Language-wise, the Telugu version led with $867K, followed by Hindi ($64K), Tamil ($2K), and Malayalam ($100).
Among other releases, The Great Pre-Wedding Show collected $99K, a respectable figure for a small-scale film.
The Girlfriend emerged as a strong performer with $681K, providing good profits after crossing its $400K breakeven.
Shiva 4K continued to surprise by earning $58K and securing a spot in North America’s Top 10 re-releases.
In contrast, Kaantha managed only $174K, turning out to be a disaster for the kind of investment involved.
Jatadhara suffered a similar fate, closing at $30K.
The trend of underperforming films continued with Mass Jathara at $106K, Mithra Mandali at $62K, and Telusu Kada at $417K, all ending as box-office disasters.
Dude posted an impressive $782K total from the USA and Canada combined, yet high costs resulted in a huge loss venture.
On the brighter side, K-Ramp recorded a solid $300K, marking a good run despite modest expectations.
Meanwhile, Kantara Chapter 1 stood out with an impressive $4.735M (Rs 41.98 Cr). Although it had a very strong run following a low opening, the film’s massive acquisition price meant it still resulted in a significant loss.
Overall, the North American box office offered a mix of historic highs and steep lows, with Baahubali The Epic once again proving its supreme box-office power and Shiva 4k surprising with good collections for a re-release.
