No gap between me and Pawan, says Ali

No gap between me and Pawan, says Ali

Popular Tollywood comedian Ali, who was recently appointed as advisor to the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh for electronic media affairs, reiterated that he continues to maintain friendly relations with power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.

“There are absolutely no differences with Pawan Kalyan. The so-called gap between us was created by some vested interests and it was played up in some websites for their masala gossip,” Ali said, in his concluding episode of “Ali tho Saradaaga,” on ETV.

The show, which was hosted by Ali continuously for over 300 episodes, was hosted for one last time by popular television anchor and actor Suma with Ali himself as the guest.

Reacting to the question as to why Pawan Kalyan did not attend the marriage or even reception of Ali’s daughter last month, the comedian said he had personally gone to the power star to extend invitation for his daughter’s wedding.

“He was in a shooting for his film on the sets. When I went there, he came down to me personally and received me. He even made other visitors who came to meet him wait and spent time with me. We talked to each other for 15 minutes,” Ali said.

The comedian said Pawan had assured him that he would definitely attend the marriage.

“But because he missed the flight, he could not make it to the function. This led to a lot of rumours and everybody wrote whatever they guessed,” he said.

Ali said the media was not aware of his relationship with Pawan.

“They only want spicy news without any substance. So, when Pawan was absent at the wedding, they got what they wanted,” he said.

The talk show – Ali Tho Saradaga – will be taken off the channel after a successful run for six years.

“It is only a pause. We shall restart it again after some days,” he explained.
