At just 18 years of age, Young Hero Nithiin made his debut and grabbed a sensational hit in Jayam. The movie released in 2002 and has completed 19 years of its release.
The romantic village drama which was made on a shoe-string budget went on to register staggering numbers at the box office.
It also established Nithiin as a charming hero and created a cult following among youth.
Remembering the memorable occasion, Nithiin went nostalgic over his debut and shared a heartfelt post on social media, he termed the movie as the most unforgettable memory and thanked the fans and director Teja profusely.
"#JAYAM completes 19 years today. The journey of this movie will always be the most unforgettable memory The immense support n love spread thru my fans is immeasurable,a big thanks 2 all of them 4 believing in me and special mention 2 my dir TEJA sir forever grateful(sic)," Nithiin posted on Twitter.
