It's now official that Nayanthara is on board for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Godfather”, the Telugu remake of Mohanlal’s “Lucifer”, which went to the floors recently.
The makers have confirmed the news recently on the occasion of Nayanthara’s birthday.
The latest update is that she has not signed the film so easily. It took much coaxing from the makers, and they also have agreed to her demand of remuneration.
Although she doesn’t play a heroine in the film, Nayanthara is charging huge remuneration.
Nayanthara plays as a sister to Chiranjeevi. For this role, she reportedly is taking home a fat paycheck of Rs 4 crore, which happens to be a record in Telugu films.
Nayanthara commands such payment. Pooja Hegde takes the remuneration in the range of Rs 2.75 to Rs 3 Crore as the female lead.
Nayanthara also takes such remuneration for her Tamil films.
