My Luck Changed Because Of Vyjayanthi: Nag Ashwin

Nag Ashwin turns producer with an upcoming hilarious entertainer Jathi Ratnalu releasing on March 11th for Maha Shivaratri.

Naveen Polishetty, Priyadarshi Pulikonda and Rahul Ramakrishna trio played the Jathi Ratnalu under the direction of Anudeep KV, while Faria Abdullah will be seen as leading lady.

Nag Ashwin revealed that they will be providing masks to patrons who come to watch the film in theatres as a safety measure.

He informed that, though they have got lucrative offers for OTT rights, they wanted to release it only in theatres.

“I didn’t expect that our film would get such fancy offers for direct-to-digital release. But, we have waited all these days only to release it in theatres. We didn’t have any monetary calculations, when we started the project. All we wanted was to make a complete entertainer,” says Nag Ashwin.

Nag Ashwin doesn’t agree that he has become lucky mascot for Vyjayanthi Movies as the production house delivered few hits in last few years and is making high profile films like the one with Prabhas.

“It’s completely opposite. I got opportunities only because of them. Literally, I still used to roam around with my scripts. Due to complications in my scripts, many didn’t show interest.

My first film Yevade Subrahmanyam was an experimental film and nobody would have spent such huge budget on a heroine oriented film Mahanati. Accepting to produce Prabhas’ film is another big thing for me. In fact, my luck has been changed because of Vyjayanthi Movies.”

Director Anudeep KV too said that Jathi Ratnalu is going to be a fun-filled entertainer.
