MSG learns from The Raja Saab fiasco

MSG learns from The Raja Saab fiasco

The Raja Saab suffered heavily due to poor release planning in Telangana.

With producers and distributors expecting a hike in ticket prices for premiere and regular shows, ticket sales were not opened until late night, resulting in the loss of crucial opening-day collections.

Although the government later agreed to the ticket hike, the High Court subsequently struck down the G.O., further complicating the release.

This entire episode has served as a clear lesson for the team behind “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” (MSG).

Learning from the situation, the makers of MSG have decided to open advance ticket sales tomorrow itself, two days ahead of the release.

The film will release either with hiked ticket prices, if the government grants permission, or at regular rates.

Importantly, the team has chosen not to wait until the last minute, ensuring that strong openings are not compromised.

The Raja Saab managed to recover despite the fiasco largely due to the absence of competition, at least until the arrival of MSG. However, from January 12, multiple films are slated for release every day.

Keeping this in mind, the MSG team is planning the release meticulously to maximise its opening potential.
