Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan and others, is set to hit theatres on December 5.
Inspired by real events, the movie focuses on terrorism and India’s attempts to tackle it at its roots. Advance bookings have opened, with high anticipation among audiences.
A notable highlight is the film’s steep ticket price at a premium Mumbai theatre, where the most expensive seat costs Rs 2,020, excluding food and beverages. Meanwhile, the film has run into controversy before its release.
Knowing this, Telugu film audiences are saying that while this price may seem high in Bollywood, certain Telugu films charge the same amount for premiere tickets, and that too without food and beverages.
Coming back to the film, the parents of late Major Mohit Sharma have approached the Delhi High Court to stop the film, claiming his legacy cannot be used or altered without the family’s consent.
They argue the film may resemble his life, despite the director stating it is not based on the martyr.
The makers have not responded yet, and the film was shot across Thailand, Mumbai, Punjab, and Ladakh.
